Learn How to Get a New Career

June 20th, 2011

Voice over casting work is the most fun work I have done in a long time. To say I have had many different jobs is an understatement. I worked as a hair dresser for ten years before I decided to change my career and started working in the finance department and I loved the office setting. It was so fun, because you never knew what might happen that day, and you didnt have people mad at you because they thought their bangs were too short. I mean people really, get over it, they will grow back out. Well, I guess you can see why I am not a hair dresser anymore. But two years ago, when the economy started going bad and I lost my job in the finance department, I knew I had to start over again, and that is when I found voice over work, and I have been doing it for the last two years.

Voice over Work

April 18th, 2011

My dreams as a child consisted of mostly dreaming about me acting up on the silver screen. Picturing my self walking down the red carpet to the Oscars with rabid fans screaming my name off to the side; some where behind the huge wall of flashes and clicks from all the reporter’s cameras going off. I started watching all the movies on television and I started to practice my favorite scenes in the mirror; wanting to perfectly get down the expression and emotion in each delivered line. When I reached high school age I started working in my drama club, acting in various plays and musicals that my school district would put on. When I got in to college I began to realize that I should find some work to get me both money and experience. After asking around for a few weeks I finally found a casting call for voice over work.
